What is it? Drafting Mode is the system players use to place their champions on the battleground during the preparation phase before a battle. It is the standard mode for both PvP and PvE gameplay.
Drafting Mode adds variety and an element of randomness to battles, making each one more exciting. It also allows for creating strong champion combos without drastically increasing win rates, keeping the game balanced.
How does it work?
Players can only place 5 champions from their collection on the arena during battle.
The game features a "preparation stage" where players place their champions in 5 rounds:
Each round lasts between 1 and 20 seconds.
In each round, players are offered 1 of 3 randomly selected champions from their collection to place on the arena.
Players can either:
Click on a champion to select them, then click again to place them in a random arena position.
Drag and drop the champion to a specific location.
After all rounds are completed, the battle begins.
PvE Mode: Players can see the enemy team's placement during the preparation stage.
PvP Mode: Players reveal the enemy's placements at the end of each round. The game only progresses once both players place their champions.
What if time runs out? If the player doesn’t place a champion in time, a random champion will be placed on the arena. If a champion was highlighted, that one will be chosen. The position isn't totally random and is based on frontline priority, meaning that for example, a Tank would be placed in the front and a Ranger would be placed in the back.
